Town of New Windsor opens pickleball courts at San Giacomo Park

Councilman Stephen A. Bedetti and Recreation Director Matt Veronesi celebrated the opening of the Town of New Windsor pickleball courts at San Giacomo Park, by a playing game with town residents Donald McCrossen, a Pickleball instructor and Ambassador to the sport and Hal Koch, an avid tennis player.

“Getting these pickleball courts done for our residents has been on the top of my list for over two years.” stated Councilman Bedetti. “I’d like to thank our Town Board Members and Recreation Director Matt Veronesi for their support and most importantly our residents for voicing their opinion on the need for them.  I look forward to seeing them get plenty of use!”

There are four pickleball courts available for residents use at San Giacomo Park, 402 Union Avenue. The park is located across from Heritage Junior High School.
