Supervisor Bedetti stated, "Thank you to the New Windsor Police Department, Orange County, NYS Office of Cannabis Management, NYS Tax and Finance Department and other agencies for their outstanding enforcement work on several local smoke shops over the past two days. New Windsor had two shops shut down and another issued violations and fines. New Windsor will continue to use all legal means necessary to make sure businesses in New Windsor comply with all required regulations." Catskill Aqueduct Shutdown: 10/2/21 - 1/17/22 The New York City Department of Environmental Protection will be shutting down the Catskill Aqueduct on October 2, 2021 for the fourth and final portion of the Catskill Aqueduct repair project. This will be a 15 week shutdown through January 17, 2022. During this time the Town will be using its well systems and also drawing water from the Delaware Aqueduct through an interconnect with the Town of Newburgh. Leak Repair & Possible Shutdown: Monday, April 20 - Route 9w area There will be a leak repair on Monday, April 20, with a possible water shut down for Route 9w, from Silver Spring Rd to 3206 Route 9w (Orange County Pediatric). There is NO BOIL WATER ADVISORY to follow at this time.
