National K-9 Veterans Day Celebrated with new Monument Site at the Police Department March 13th was National K-9 Veterans Day. This is a day set aside to honor military and working dogs. Town Supervisor Stephen Bedetti and the New Windsor Police Department have recently broke ground on a monument site at the Police Department to recognize our past and future K-9 Teams. Today the monument was set in place and soon the Building and Grounds crew will begin landscaping the area around it. An official dedication will take place in the near future.
