Then honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, cheer on our veterans, local Fire Departments, EMS, Police Department, School Bands, and many other organizations marching in the parade along Route 94. Related Articles Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony & Parade - Sunday, May 19, 2024 The town will hold its annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony and Parade on Sunday, May 19th, 2024. Both events will be live streamed here on our Facebook page! The ceremony will take place at 10:30 AM at the Veterans Monument on the corner of Route 94 and Route 9w. The parade will start at 2 PM from the New Windsor Post Office Plaza and wind down Route 94, ending at New Windsor School. Please come out and support your local Veterans groups, first responders and youth groups. The parade will also feature local marching bands and more! Route 94 will be closed starting at 1:45pm on Sunday from the post office plaza to New Windsor school. Route 94 will reopen as the parade passes. Please plan your travel accordingly. The Town will be dedicating a Memorial bench including a section of steel from the World Trade Center, a reminder that we will and should never forget this day. The Memorial will be held on the Town Hall grounds starting at 5pm and all are welcome to attend. George J. Cancellation of the Memorial Day Parade & Service on May 17 Out of an abundance of caution due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of New Windsor has cancelled the Memorial Day Parade & Service scheduled for Sunday, May 17th.
