Town of New Windsor Enacts Stage 1 Water Restrictions due to Equipment Failures at the Butterhill Water Treatment Facility

The Town of New Windsor has enacted Stage 1 water restrictions due to equipment failures, which has caused the Town to shut down the Butterhill Water Treatment Facility for an undetermined amount of time. Efforts are underway to repair the facility. Until such repairs are made and further notice lifting these water restrictions is provided, all residents and users of the Town’s water system are required to abide by these restrictions, which can be found at the following link:  https://ecode360.com/27281590

Proposed Local Law - Change in Spruce St Parking

Section 280-8(A) of the Vehicles and Traffic Law of the Town of New Windsor, prohibits the parking of vehicles on certain designated streets. Section 280-8(A)is hereby amended as follows: (86) Spruce Street: No parking along the western shoulder of Spruce Street, for a distance of 372 feet from the southern boundary line of 222 Spruce Street and terminating at the northern boundary line of 222 Parkway Drive.

Orange County Mobile DMV at Town Hall: July 2, 2025

Supervisor Stephen A. Bedetti is happy to announce the Orange County Mobile DMV will be back at New Windsor Town Hall again! The mobile DMV will be here on Wednesday, July 2nd from 10am-3:30pm. New Windsor residents can process many of the normal DMV transactions right here at town hall.

Supervisor Bedetti would like to thank Orange County Clerk Kelly Eskew for once again bringing this service to our residents!
