Winter Storm and Warming Center Update - January 22

The Town will once again open a 24/7 warming center beginning Friday, January 23 at the Town Hall Complex. The warming center will remain open through the upcoming snowstorm and the extended period of cold weather expected the week of January 26.

The warming center will provide heat, Wi-Fi, water, and power for charging devices for any residents who may experience power outages.

Residents seeking access should visit the New Windsor Police Lobby at the Town Hall Complex, where staff will escort you to the warming center. The warming center is open to all residents and available 24/7.

Town Supervisor Stephen Bedetti will also be convening an Emergency Operations Meeting with all essential Town departments, including the New Windsor Police Department, EMS, and local fire departments, to ensure continued coordination and preparedness.

With a snowstorm forecasted from Sunday into Monday, residents should continue to monitor weather updates and ensure they have essential household supplies on hand.

New Windsor Heroes Veteran Banner Program

Supervisor Stephen A. Bedetti is proud to announce the launch of the New Windsor Heroes Banner Program to honor our local veterans.
Famlies can purchase a banner to be displayed on main traffic corridors of the town to honor their loved ones who have served.

Our Police Department is top notch, our roads are maintained to high standards, and our Recreation Department provides a wealth of activities to all age groups.

Town Hall is open to the public Monday - Friday, from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. We encourage anyone who can still conduct business via phone or email to continue to do so. If you have any suggestions or problems relating to the town or services, please do not hesitate to contact the appropriate Town Department.

The Town Clerk’s office will be open until 6pm every Thursday. On the second Saturday of the month, the office will be open from 9am-12pm.

Town Clerk Clarino stated: “Our residents lead busy lives and cannot always get to my office during normal hours for business that needs to be conducted in person. Many residents voiced a need for this when I was campaigning and I am proud to deliver on my promise.”

Supervisor Bedetti stated: “We pride ourselves on being available for our residents. I am happy to see our Town Clerks office starting evening and weekend hours. It is important that we provide every resident the opportunity for these additional hours for those residents who cannot make it during our normal business hours.”
